The Lone Meeting Room Ranger 🏢. Introducing 'The Lone Meeting Room Ranger'—the ultimate guide to claiming that meeting room all to yourself and using it as your secret weapon for looking incredibly busy. (6.5/10)
The "Over-the-Top" Time Management 🕧. Create a colorful and overly detailed daily planner filled with color-coded tasks and intricate time blocks. Spend more time updating your planner than actually working on the tasks. I personally did this by using Notion, and this also looks cool. (7.5/10)
The Earphone Effect 🎧. The Earphone Effect is a psychological phenomenon that makes people think you're working harder when you're wearing earphones. (btw i just made that up…there is no such phenomenon). This is because people associate earphones with concentration and productivity. So next time you want to look busy, just put on your earphones and start doing whatever you want. (7/10)
The Multi-Device Mirage 🖥️. First ask your boss/HR to get you an additional screen. Multiple screens at your desk is a great way to show that you are multi-tasking. Always open excel in one of the screens and do some random work. If you don’t know what to do with excel, just watch excel tutorials on the screen. (6/10)
Finally, don’t be afraid. Your bosses have been doing all of the above for years and they get paid a lot more than you. Don’t over do these techniques, you can have a look at more techniques here . Welcome to the world of work!
